Type of School: Traditional, College Preparatory Program

Founded: 1989

Location: Lexington, Kentucky

Head of School:  Ollie Gibbs, Ed.D., Headmaster

Students: 1,580 students, preschool through 12th grade

Accreditation: Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Kentucky Non-Public School Commission.

Chapel Services: Chapel is held at each campus once per week.

College and Guidance Counseling: 5 counselors are available to our students.

College Matriculation: 117 students comprised the Class of 2010. 100% graduated and with 99% entering over 57 different colleges and universities.

Library: 4 libraries with 41,368 volumes

Facilities:
The 75 acre Rose Campus is LCA’s main campus. The Rose Campus serves as the location for the Senior High, Junior High, and one of LCA’s three primary campuses (preschool through 3rd grade.) The Rose Campus is also the site of LCA’s Athletic Complex, including: baseball field, football stadium, practice fields, soccer fields, softball field, tennis courts, and track; weight room; two gymnasiums; media center; computer lab; and 600-seat chapel/auditorium.

Immanuel Baptist Church hosts LCA’s Intermediate Campus (grades 4-6) as well as the second of the three primary campuses.

Eastland Church of God hosts LCA’s third primary campus (preschool – 2nd grade.)        

Technology: Computer labs at every campus; campus-wide network and Intranet; widespread wireless access

Athletics: Member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. Fall sports include: cheerleading and dance, cross country, football, golf, soccer, and volleyball. Winter sports include: basketball, cheerleading and dance, and swimming. Spring sports include: baseball, softball, tennis and track.

Performing Arts: Include band, chorus, drama and orchestra.

Outreach Programs: Opportunities are available to all students to participate in outreach programs throughout the school year. Lexington Christian Academy employs a Director of Missions and Outreach to create and facilitate various missions and outreach programs.
